FIRE ENGULFS CASINO IN CAMBODIAN BORDER CITY, SEVERAL INJURED

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia, Jan 8 (NNN-AKP) - A blaze swept through a portion of an 18-floor casino in northwestern Cambodia's Poipet city, late on Monday, Fresh News service provider reported.

The fire broke out at 10:10 p.m. local time, at the Golden Casino, in Kbal Spean village, in Poipet city of Banteay Meanchey province, the Fresh News reported.

Firefighters were called to put out the fire, as several people were reportedly injured, it said.

The cause of the blaze and the number of casualties remain unknown.-- NNN-AKP
