GHANA, FIFA, CAF AGREE ON FOUR-MEMBER TEAM TO NORMALIZE GHANA F.A.

ACCRA, Sept 14 (NNN-GNA) -- The Ghanaian government and world football's governing body FIFA and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have agreed on the composition of the four-member team charged with reforming football in Ghana over the next six months.

Journalists here were informed Thursday at a media briefing by FIFA and CAF delegations headed by Nicole Luca at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Secretariat that Dr Kofi Amoah, who led the CAF/FIFA liaison team, would lead the four-member team, with support from Naa Odofoley Nortey, as the Vice Chairman, Dua Adonteng and Lucy Quist as members.

The team, which has been given a mandate till the end of March, 2019, would among other things help reform the GFA, regulate the day-to-day activities of the GFA and also in collaboration with FIFA make the necessary suggestions on all GFA issues.

The announcement of the normalization team brings to an end the work of the liaison team that comprised of Dr. Kofi Amoah, Mr Francis Oti Akenteng and Dan Kweku Yeboah, as the spokesperson.

The GFA Secretariat that had been termed as a "crime scene" was still seen with police CID presence as the briefing was ongoing. -- NNN-GNA
