AMMAN, March 20 (NNN-Petra)--Prime Minister Hani Al Mulki Sunday, received Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Abu al-Gheit, currently on a visit to discuss preparations for the Arab summit to be hosted by Jordan later this month.
During the meeting, which was attended by Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi and Assistant Arab League Secretary General Hussam Zaki, Al Mulki said that Jordan, in cooperation with the Arab League, has completed all preparations to host the summit.
The prime minister voiced hope that the Arab summit will provide an opportunity to renew joint Arab action in light of the current situation in the Arab region.
He also pointed to the role of the summit in finding solutions to issues and challenges facing the Arab nation.
Al Mulki affirmed Jordan's support to activating the role of the Arab League as well as joint Arab action, noting that Jerusalem the Palestinian issue as well as terrorism and extremism will top the agenda of the summit.
The Arab League chief praised preparations that have been taken by Jordan to host the summit.
