RANGPUR, Bangladesh Dec 12 (NNN-BSS) -- Central leaders of Awami League (AL) have urged its grassroots levels leaders to work selflessly for welfare of the common people in building a poverty- and hunger- free and ICT- based developed Bangladesh by the year 2021.

They called upon all AL leaders and activists for strengthening the party through increased organizational activities and to go to the common people to ensure their welfare by bringing changes in the mindsets, behaviour and conscience.

They were addressing a daylong divisional Information and Research Workshop yesterday organised by AL central committee for the AL Publicity, Publication and Information Research Secretaries of all 58 upazilas in eight districts of Rangpur division.

Chaired by Publicity and Publication Secretary of the central committee of AL Nuh-Ul Alam Lenin, the workshop, held at Rangpur Police Community Centre, was attended by its Organising Secretary Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury MP as the chief guest.

Information and Research Secretary of AL central committee Afzal Hossain, its Deputy Publicity and Publication Secretary Asim Kumar Ukil, Shahriar Alam MP, Abul Kalam Azad MP, Shubhash Chandra Roy, Abu Naser, Subrato Chanda, Amina Kohinoor, former MP Shah Abdur Razzaque, Rangpur AL convener FF Abul Mansur Ahmed, its Joint Conveners Adv Rezaul Karim Raju and FF Mosaddek Hossain Bablu, addressed.

The AL leaders also urged the grassroots level leaders and activists to refrain from all sorts of tender terrorism, extortions and terrorists activities and cautioned for stern actions if anybody was found involved with such illegal activities. – NNN-BSS
