ASEAN GAMES: MALAYSIAN PARALYMPIANS SET NEW WORLD RECORDS. Malaysian long jump athletes Abdul Latif Romly gestures as he set a new world record on the second day of athletics competition in the 2018 Asian Para Games at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta, Indonesia, on Oct 9, 2018. Abdul Latif cleared 7.64 metres in the men's long jump T20 to rewrite his own record of 7.60 metres set in the 2016 Rio Olympics. Meanwhile Mohamad Ridzuan also break the record by clocking 11.87 seconds in the men's 100m T36 to erase the previous record of 11.90 seconds created by Russian para athlete, Evgenii Shvetcov in the IPC World Paralympic Championship in Lyon, France in 2013.
