Indonesia has returned to Malaysia a luxury yacht linked to the multi-billion dollar 1MDB financial scandal, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad said the move is seen as bolstering a corruption probe involving ex-leader Najib Razak. The Cayman Islands-registered Equanimity, believed to be worth about US$250 million belongs to fugitive Malaysian financier Low Taek Jho, or Jho Low, with links to Najib. It was seized in February off the Indonesian tourist island of Bali. Former Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak was charged on Aug 8 with three counts of money laundering as part of a probe into money missing from state fund 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
