16-YEAR-OLD SYRIAN WINS CHILDREN'S PEACE PRIZE 2017. The International Children's Peace Prize winner Mohamad Al Jounde speaks during the award ceremony in the Hague, the Netherlands on Dec 4, 2017. Sixteen-year-old Al Jounde from Syria was awarded the International Children's Peace Prize on Monday for his efforts to ensure the rights of Syrian refugee children.
