ONE POLICE OFFICER KILLED, TWO OTHERS SEVERELY INJURED IN PARIS SHOOTING

ONE POLICE OFFICER KILLED, TWO OTHERS SEVERELY INJURED IN PARIS SHOOTING. The police closed the Champs-Élysées, Paris on April 20, 2017, after a gunman killed a policeman and wounded two others in Paris. The gunman, armed with a machine gun, got out of a car and opened fire at the police officers in front of a store on a street, media reports quoted a witness as saying. He then began running away and injured two other officers before he was shot in an exchange of fire with the police. Concerns over security have been raised since Tuesday when two men were arrested for plotting an attack before the French presidential election, which is set to begin on Sunday.
