INDIA UNVEILS EXPENSIVE TANK

INDIA UNVEILS EXPENSIVE TANK. India's main battle tank Arjun MK II. The price of the tank is said to be worth 370 million rupees (about US$8.02 million). India' defence minister AK Antony told his nation's parliament on 8 August 2012. The original design relied heavily on foreign components and technology, with close to 50% of the tank's components initially imported. Much of this has since been replaced by indigenous systems, including a 120mm main gun. After extensive field evaluations and tests, the tank entered service with the 75th Armoured Regiment on May 12. Photo courtesy huanqiu.com
