INDIGENOUS PEOPLE AT RIO 20 CONF IN BRAZIL. The UN Conference on Sustainable Development opened Wed, launching a new round of debate on the future of the planet, its resources and people, 20 years after the first Earth Summit. The Rio 20 conference is attended by close to 50,000 participants including delegates, environmental activists, business leaders and indigenous groups.
