{"id":95956,"date":"2020-10-09T12:01:29","date_gmt":"2020-10-09T04:01:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=95956"},"modified":"2020-10-09T12:01:31","modified_gmt":"2020-10-09T04:01:31","slug":"indian-minister-paswan-dies-at-74","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=95956","title":{"rendered":"Indian minister Paswan dies at 74"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>NEW DELHI, Oct 9 (NNN-BERNAMA) &#8212; Indian federal government minister\u00a0Ram Vilas Paswan has died at the age of 74.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was minister for consumer affairs, food and public distribution in Prime Minister Narendra Modi&#8217;s cabinet and one of India&#8217;s prominent politicians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The news of the minister&#8217;s death was shared on social media late Thursday by his 37-year-old politician son Chirag Paswan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paswan underwent heart surgery at a hospital in New Delhi a few days ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hailing from the eastern state of Bihar, Paswan was involved in politics for more than five decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;He was among the most active and longest-serving members of parliament.
