SINGAPORE, Sept 18\u00a0(NNN-BERNAMA) — Singapore has preliminarily confirmed 11\u00a0new\u00a0cases of COVID-19 infection in\u00a0the past 24 hours, with one case in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Based on our investigations so far, there is one case in the community, who is a Singaporean,” said the republic\u2019s Ministry of Health (MOH) in its brief data released here Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The MOH said there was also one imported case who had been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the latest development, the total infection for the republic stands at 57,543.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ministry said it was still working through the details of the cases, and further updates would be issued Friday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the full data released late Thursday, the ministry classified 1,005 of the reported cases as imported, 2,241 as community cases and 54,286 involving dorm residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the MOH said 57,039 cases had fully recovered from the infection and discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A total of 43 confirmed cases are still in hospital but none in the intensive care unit, it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, 423 patients who have mild symptoms or clinically well but still tested positive for COVID-19 have been isolated and are being cared for at community facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To date, 27 people have died from complications due to COVID-19 in the republic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
