SINGAPORE, July 20\u00a0(NNN-BERNAMA) — Singapore has preliminarily confirmed an additional 123 cases of COVID-19 infection with the vast majority still being migrant workers residing at dormitories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to brief data released by the Ministry of Health (MOH) at noon today, there were 11 cases in the community, with five of them Singaporeans or permanent residents and six\u00a0work pass holders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, the ministry said there were two imported cases who had been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the new development, the total infection tally for the republic is 48,035.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Late yesterday, Singapore had classified 643\u00a0of its cases as imported, 2,119\u00a0as community cases and 45,150\u00a0as dorm residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From these,\u00a044,086\u00a0or about 92 per cent of the total cases have fully recovered from the infection and discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As of noon yesterday, there were 181 confirmed cases still in hospital, with most being stable or improving and none in the intensive care unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A total of 3,618 patients who had symptoms or were clinically well but still tested positive for COVID-19 have been isolated and are being cared for at community facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To date, 27 people have died from complications due to COVID-19 here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No new clusters were identified yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
