{"id":80551,"date":"2020-06-25T11:26:21","date_gmt":"2020-06-25T03:26:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=80551"},"modified":"2020-06-25T11:27:04","modified_gmt":"2020-06-25T03:27:04","slug":"us-presidential-election-white-house-hopeful-biden-leads-pres-trump-by-14-points-in-poll-survey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=80551","title":{"rendered":"US presidential election: White House hopeful Biden leads Pres Trump by 14 points in poll survey"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bssnews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Joe-Biden.jpg\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.bssnews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Joe-Biden-696x392.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>WASHINGTON, June 25 (NNN-AGENCIES) &#8212; Democrat White House hopeful Joe Biden has a 14-point lead over US President Donald Trump ahead of the November election as some Republican-leaning voters reproach Trump for his response to the coronavirus crisis, a latest poll survey showed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In one of Trump\u2019s worst poll showings for the 2020 race, the<br>Democrat Biden garnered 50 percent of the vote compared with 36<br>percent for the president, according to a survey by the New York Times<br>and Siena College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recent polls have found Biden 10 points ahead of the president on average.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Biden has built up a big lead among women, African Americans and<br>Latinos, the new poll said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has also drawn even with Trump among male voters, whites and<br>people middle aged or older, who tend to vote Republican, the<br>newspaper added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Times said Trump is losing support among a striking cross<br>section of voters after his administration fumbled in its response to<br>the pandemic, which has crippled the economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trump\u2019s tough law-and-order stance during a national reckoning over<br>racial injustice and police brutality against minorities has also<br>apparently cost him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The poll found Trump\u2019s support sharply down among voters that<br>Republicans tend to rely on \u2014 whites with college degrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Times said the poll of 1,337 registered voters was carried out<br>from June 17 to 22. It did not specify the margin of error.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trump might nonetheless take heart in the fact that the election is<br>more than four months away.
