{"id":75501,"date":"2020-05-21T23:23:20","date_gmt":"2020-05-21T15:23:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=75501"},"modified":"2020-05-21T23:28:00","modified_gmt":"2020-05-21T15:28:00","slug":"covid-19-singapore-records-23rd-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=75501","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19: Singapore records 23rd death"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>SINGAPORE, May 21\u00a0(NNN-BERNAMA) &#8212;\u00a0Singapore, which announced 910 discharged cases of COVID-19 earlier today, reported another death, bringing the number of\u00a0fatalities\u00a0to 23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The republic\u2019s Ministry of Health (MOH) in a statement issued here, said the latest death case involved a 73 year-old male Singaporean who died today&nbsp;at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Identified as Case 4,689, the victim was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on April 17, and had a history of hypertension, hyperlipidaemia and hypothyroidism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Singapore reported its first two COVID-19 deaths on March 21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are currently 901&nbsp;confirmed cases who are still undergoing treatment in hospital, and of these, most are&nbsp;stable or improving while&nbsp;10&nbsp;are in critical condition in the intensive care unit, said the ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, 16,771&nbsp;cases with mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still tested positive for COVID-19 have been isolated and cared for at community facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The republic&nbsp;has earlier today confirmed and verified an additional 448&nbsp;cases of COVID-19 infection, bringing the total tally to 29,812.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SINGAPORE, May 21\u00a0(NNN-BERNAMA) &#8212;\u00a0Singapore, which announced 910 discharged cases of COVID-19 earlier today, reported another death, bringing the number of\u00a0fatalities\u00a0to 23.
