{"id":68324,"date":"2020-04-02T19:26:19","date_gmt":"2020-04-02T11:26:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=68324"},"modified":"2020-04-02T19:26:21","modified_gmt":"2020-04-02T11:26:21","slug":"artistes-from-4-countries-reach-out-to-people-via-poem-on-dangers-of-covid-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=68324","title":{"rendered":"Artistes from 4 countries reach out to people via poem on dangers of COVID-19"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>By Muhammad Faiz Baharin<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR, April 2 (NNN-BERNAMA) &#8212; Poets from four countries have teamed up to lend their voices to reach out to the people on the dangers of the COVID-19, through a poem, Syair Lambaian Kemanusiaan : COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Led by local poet and artiste Roslan Madun, 68, who wrote the poem, the group comprises 12 poets from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Brunei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0According to Roslan, the idea for the poem came to him after he saw how even after COVID-19 had hit the world,\u00a0causing fear and anxiety everywhere, many were still were ignoring it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI decided to use poetry to motivate the public to become more aware of the danger of COVID-19, and to play their part in helping the government curb the outbreak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roslan then came up with six verses to stress on the importance of people complying with the government rules regarding the outbreak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The poem also reminds us to always pray to Allah and trust in Him,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that the poem has been posted on Facebook and YouTube, while a video recording has been broadcast on Kepri.TV in Indonesia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Muhammad Faiz Baharin KUALA LUMPUR, April 2 (NNN-BERNAMA) &#8212; Poets from four countries have teamed up to lend their voices to reach out to the people on the dangers of the COVID-19, through a poem, Syair Lambaian Kemanusiaan : COVID-19.
