Sree said, with the latest arrests, the total&nbsp;number of people detained for defying MCO in the state since last&nbsp;week have&nbsp;risen to 276.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMiri has the most offenders&nbsp;with 12 people, followed by Kuching (9), Sibu (8), Saratok (3), Padawan (2), Kota Samarahan (2), Sri Aman (2), Limbang (2), Dalat (2), Bintulu (1), Serian (1), Lawas (1) and&nbsp;Sarikei (1),\u201d he said in a statement today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, Dev Kumar said&nbsp;today, 83 people were&nbsp;charged in court for breaking the order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAmong the districts, Sibu leads&nbsp;with 31 individuals, followed by Padawan (13), Miri (7), Dalat (7), Sarikei (6), Lawas (6), Matu Daro (6), Kuching (4), Kota Samarahan (2) and&nbsp;Bintulu (1),\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All the offenders were detained under&nbsp;Section 186 of the&nbsp;Penal Code and Regulation 7(1) of the&nbsp;Prevention&nbsp;and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures Within The Infected Local Areas)&nbsp;Regulations&nbsp;2020,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said, if found guilty, they could be jailed up to two years and fined RM10,000 or both.&#8211; NNN-BERNAMA <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KUCHING, Mar 31 (NNN-BERNAMA) &#8211; Forty-six more individuals were detained for breaching the Movement Control Order (MCO) throughout Sarawak, in operations conducted from 8.00 am yesterday to 8.00 am today.
