{"id":64054,"date":"2020-03-02T13:36:25","date_gmt":"2020-03-02T05:36:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=64054"},"modified":"2020-03-02T13:36:36","modified_gmt":"2020-03-02T05:36:36","slug":"muhyiddin-begins-work-as-malaysian-prime-minister","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=64054","title":{"rendered":"Muhyiddin Begins Work As Malaysian Prime Minister"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><br> PUTRAJAYA, March 2 (NNN-Bernama) &#8212; Muhyiddin Yassin started his work as the 8th Prime Minister Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He entered the Perdana Putra building, which houses the Prime Minister&#8217;s office, at 8 am to begin his official duty as the country\u2019s new prime minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon his arrival, Muhyiddin was welcomed by Chief Secretary to the Government Mohd Zuki Ali, before being taken to the fifth floor where his office is located.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prayers were recited before he entered his office and Muhyiddin also signed the commencement of duty book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Muhyiddin, 72, took his oath of office as the 8th Prime Minister of Malaysia before Malaysian King Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri&#8217;ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, at the Istana Negara (national palace) Sunday (March 1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al-Sultan Abdullah appointed Muhyiddin as the new prime minister in accordance with Articles 40 (2) (a) and 43 (2) (a) of the Federal Constitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On his first day, Muhyiddin will attend meetings with Mohd Zuki, Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador and Defence Force chief General Affendi Buang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212; NNN-BERNAMA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PUTRAJAYA, March 2 (NNN-Bernama) &#8212; Muhyiddin Yassin started his work as the 8th Prime Minister Monday.
