{"id":6311,"date":"2019-01-30T11:46:45","date_gmt":"2019-01-30T03:46:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/10.0.5.12\/nnn\/?p=6311"},"modified":"2019-02-04T14:32:29","modified_gmt":"2019-02-04T06:32:29","slug":"venezuelas-top-court-imposes-restrictions-on-guaido","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=6311","title":{"rendered":"Venezuela&#8217;s top court imposes restrictions on Guaido"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>BUENOS AIRES (Argentina), Jan 30 (NNN-ANADOLU) &#8212; &nbsp;Venezuela\u2019s Supreme Court on Tuesday barred opposition leader and self-declared president Juan <g class=\"gr_ gr_3 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace\" id=\"3\" data-gr-id=\"3\">Guaido<\/g> from leaving the country and ordered a freeze on his financial assets, Anadolu&nbsp;Agency reported, quoting&nbsp;&nbsp;Venezuela Chief Justice.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chief Justice Maikel Moreno in his post on his Twitter account said the court was initiating a preliminary investigation and the precautionary measures against Guaido,&nbsp;designed to safeguard the country&#8217;s integrity.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier in the day, Venezuela&#8217;s Attorney General Tarek Saab asked the court to launch a criminal probe against Guaido.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Venezuela has been rocked by protests since Jan&nbsp;10, when President Nicolas Maduro was sworn in for a second term after the opposition boycotted the vote.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last week, Guaido, the leader of Venezuela\u2019s opposition-led National Assembly, declared himself acting president, a move immediately supported by US&nbsp;President Donald Trump.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maduro quickly shot back, cutting off diplomatic relations with the US&nbsp;and giving American diplomats 72 hours to leave the country.
