Photo courtesy of BERNAMA.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 13 (NNN-BERNAMA) &#8212;&nbsp;The new National Automotive Policy, NAP2020&nbsp;will&nbsp;be launched by Prime Minister&nbsp;Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad this Feb 21&nbsp;at the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement today, MITI said the government has taken into account all the feedback&nbsp;obtained from the industry as well as improvement opportunities learned from previous national automotive policies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTo ensure a continuation of meaningful participation within the industry, the government has put emphasis on resources to ensure that the next technology acceleration curve would be in line with emerging trends surrounding transportation and mobility, as well as&nbsp;allowing for clean energy technology adoption,\u201d it said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NAP2020 is formulated to elevate Malaysia\u2019s automotive industry to the next phase of industrial competitiveness, in line with the changing landscape of mobility within the global markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MITI&nbsp;said the government focuses on building strategic ties with industry players towards enhancing local talents\u2019 capacity and development.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 13 (NNN-BERNAMA) &#8212;&nbsp;The new National Automotive Policy, NAP2020&nbsp;will&nbsp;be launched by Prime Minister&nbsp;Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad this Feb 21&nbsp;at the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).
