KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 12 (NNN-BERNAMA) — Malaysia Airlines has formed\u00a0a codeshare agreement with South America’s LATAM Airlines Group as a way of offering even more seamless connectivity options to its customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
LATAM Airlines is a Chilean airline holding company incorporated under Chilean law and headquartered in Santiago, Chile and is a leading airline in Latin America.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Effective this month, Malaysia Airlines\u2019 customers will be able to connect to Santiago, Chile via Auckland (New Zealand), Sydney (Australia) or Melbourne (Australia) on LATAM\u2019s trans-Pacific services, which are now marketed with the Malaysia Airlines \u201cMH\u201d flight code. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Likewise, LATAM Airlines\u2019 customers will be able to connect to Kuala Lumpur via the same cities in Oceania on Malaysia Airlines flights carrying LATAM\u2019s \u201cLA\u201d code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Malaysia Airlines group chief executive officer Captain Izham Ismail said: \u201cThis new codeshare agreement further reinforces our commitment to provide a greater choice in destination for our passengers, giving the widest possible range of options for their travels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWith this, we will be able to build our footprint in South America, with Chile acting as a gateway for Malaysians to explore the region,\u201d he said in a statement today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
