BANGKOK, Feb\u00a04 (NNN-BERNAMA) — All Thais evacuated from Wuhan, the epicentre of the\u00a02019 novel\u00a0 coronavirus outbreak in China, tomorrow will be examined and quarantined for 14 days at naval base\u00a0Chon Buri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a statement Monday,\u00a0\u00a0Royal Thai Navy spokesperson Prachachart Sirisawat said five buildings at the naval base in Sattahip district would be used as\u00a0quarantine\u00a0facility.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA command centre will be set up at Abhakornkiatiwong Hospital in the base to monitor evacuees\u2019 condition from time to time,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that a Thai AirAsia aircraft to fly home the Thais will land at U-Tapao Airport and they will be brought to the quarantine facility, about 15 km from airport. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Local media reported that the Thai AirAsia\u00a0flight is expected to leave for Wuhan Tuesday and arrive at U-Tapao Airport at 3.35 pm (local time).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, the returned flight could be delayed due to screening process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul will fly to Wuhan with a medical team to supervise the evacuation process. They will wear protective suits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan o-cha urged the public to stay calm and not to panic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Some people tried to use coronavirus (outbreak) to attack me,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At present, there are 19 confirmed coronavirus cases in Thailand, including two locals. Eight of the patients were cured and discharged from hospital. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
