{"id":60676,"date":"2020-02-03T12:21:29","date_gmt":"2020-02-03T04:21:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=60676"},"modified":"2020-02-03T12:21:31","modified_gmt":"2020-02-03T04:21:31","slug":"algeria-tunisia-discuss-libyan-crisis-bilateral-cooperation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=60676","title":{"rendered":"Algeria, Tunisia discuss Libyan crisis, bilateral cooperation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.xinhuanet.com\/english\/2020-02\/03\/138750467_15806854473641n.jpg\" alt=\"ALGERIA-ALGIERS-TUNISIA-PRESIDENTS-MEETING\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune (L) with Tunisian President Kais Saied in Algiers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ALGIERS, Feb 3 (NNN-Xinhua) &#8212; Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune said that Algiers and Tunis have &#8220;convergent views&#8221; on international and regional issues, including the Libyan crisis, the official APS news agency reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The president made the remarks during a joint press conference with his visiting Tunisian counterpart Kais Saied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tebboune also pledged that his country would deposit 150 million U.S. dollars in Tunisian bank as a loan, in a bid to boost the economy of the neighboring nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said that &#8220;Algiers and Tunis share perfect and absolute convergent views on all levels and on most regional and international issues, including the Libyan crisis.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that &#8220;we both agree that the solution for the Libyan crisis is in the hand of Libyans themselves,&#8221; while stressing &#8220;the need to prevent any foreign interference and stop the flow of arms.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For his part, Saied stressed &#8220;the need to explore new tools of joint work between the two countries,&#8221; calling for &#8220;a new start for achieving and meeting the aspirations of our two peoples.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They also discussed the so called &#8220;Deal of the Century,&#8221; which was proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump to solve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this regard, Algeria and Tunisia expressed their rejection for the proposal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saied arrived in Algeria on Sunday for an official visit at the invitation of Tebboune.\u00a0&#8212; NNN-XINHUA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune (L) with Tunisian President Kais Saied in Algiers ALGIERS, Feb 3 (NNN-Xinhua) &#8212; Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune said that Algiers and Tunis have &#8220;convergent views&#8221; on international and regional issues, including the Libyan crisis, the official APS news agency reported.
