BAGHDAD, Dec 31 (NNN-NINA) – Iraqi Foreign Ministry announced that it will summon the U.S. ambassador in Baghdad, over U.S. attacks that killed 25 people and injured 51 others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ministry said that “the attack is seen as a blatant violation of the sovereignty of Iraq, and a condemned act, which is rejected by all norms and laws that govern relations between states.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We reiterate that the Hashd Shaabi forces are Iraqi national forces, and is part of the Iraqi forces system, which are under the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi forces,” the statement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ministry asserted that Iraq, as an independent country, will not allow its land to be a battlefield, or to be a passage to carry out attacks on others, according to the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It said that the U.S. ambassador in Baghdad will be summoned to be informed of Iraq’s stance, and Iraq will discuss with European partners in the international coalition against the Daesh “to come out with a unified position regarding the mechanisms of work and the future presence of the coalition forces in Iraq.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The attack pushes Iraq to review relationship with the U.S.-led coalition on security, political and legal levels,” according to the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The statements came a day after the U.S. forces bombarded headquarters of Hashd Shaabi’s 45th and 46th Brigades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
