{"id":56236,"date":"2019-12-25T09:03:40","date_gmt":"2019-12-25T01:03:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=56236"},"modified":"2019-12-25T09:06:17","modified_gmt":"2019-12-25T01:06:17","slug":"malaysian-economy-seen-to-improve-in-feb-to-apr-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=56236","title":{"rendered":"Malaysian Economy Seen To Improve In Feb To Apr, 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 25 (NNN-BERNAMA) &#8211; The Malaysian economy is expected to experience a better growth in Feb to Apr, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Malaysian Statistics Department, said that, the leading index, which predicts the economic direction, showed a better performance in Oct, expanded 1.4 percent from Sept.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main contributors to the increase were real imports of other basic precious and other non-ferrous metal, real imports of semi-conductors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The annual change of leading index also showed the same trend, rising 1.5 percent in Oct, as against 0.3 percent in the previous month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, the coincident index, which measures the current economic performance, surged 0.9 percent in the reference month as compared to negative 1.2 percent in Sept.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The growth was driven by capacity utilisation in the manufacturing sector and volume index of retail trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The annual change of coincident index remained at 1.6 percent.&#8211; NNN-BERNAMA  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 25 (NNN-BERNAMA) &#8211; The Malaysian economy is expected to experience a better growth in Feb to Apr, 2020.
