{"id":52439,"date":"2019-11-28T12:28:24","date_gmt":"2019-11-28T04:28:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=52439"},"modified":"2019-11-28T14:47:29","modified_gmt":"2019-11-28T06:47:29","slug":"485-die-in-battered-refugee-camp-in-ne-syria-in-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=52439","title":{"rendered":"485 Die In Battered Refugee Camp In NE Syria In 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>DAMASCUS, Nov 28 (NNN-SANA) &#8211; At least 485 people died, as a result of a tough humanitarian situation, in a refugee camp run by Kurdish forces in northeastern Syria, a war monitor reported Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These people are largely family members of Daesh militants, who sought refuge in the al-Hol camp, in the northeastern province of Hasakah, following the successive defeats of the militants by U.S.-backed Kurdish forces, said the Observatory for Human Rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The UK-based watchdog group said, 426 of those dead were children under 18, most of whom were from foreign nationalities, such as Britain, Russian, Portuguese, and many other nationalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It said, the people in the camp are suffering a tough situation, with lack of medicine and proper food, calling it the &#8220;camp of death.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al-Hol is a camp that mushroomed earlier this year, to more than 74,000 refugees and displaced people, according to the International Committee of the Red Cross.&#8211; NNN-SANA  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DAMASCUS, Nov 28 (NNN-SANA) &#8211; At least 485 people died, as a result of a tough humanitarian situation, in a refugee camp run by Kurdish forces in northeastern Syria, a war monitor reported Wednesday.
