{"id":50486,"date":"2019-11-14T15:44:21","date_gmt":"2019-11-14T07:44:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=50486"},"modified":"2019-11-14T15:50:17","modified_gmt":"2019-11-14T07:50:17","slug":"senior-police-officer-shot-dead-in-nw-pakistan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=50486","title":{"rendered":"Senior Police Officer Shot Dead In NW Pakistan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>ISLAMABAD, Nov 14 (NNN-APP) &#8211; A senior police officer was shot dead, by unidentified armed men, today (Thursday), in Pakistan&#8217;s northwestern city of Peshawar, police said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A police officer, Zahoor Afridi and witnesses said, the gunmen, riding a motorbike, fired at the car of Peshawar Deputy Superintendent Police of the Counter-Terrorism Department, Ghani Khan, at Chamkani, in the outskirts of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The gunmen fled after the attack. Police said, four other people, including a guard and the driver of the killed officer, were injured in the attack and shifted to a local hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities used to blame such attacks on Taliban militants. No groups or individuals claimed this attack yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pakistani law enforcement officials have always been the target of militant groups.
