BEIRUT, Nov 14 (NNN-NNA) – Thousands of Lebanese demonstrators blocked streets all over Lebanon, to express their outrage over President Michel Aoun’s remarks a day earlier, and the death of a protester in Khaldeh, south of Lebanon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Protesters threatened to go to Baabda Palace and force the President to resign, if he and all other officials do not submit their resignations within 48 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
President Aoun’s remarks were misinterpreted, when he called upon protesters to send a representative, capable of conducting negotiations with Lebanese authorities, to meet the people’s demands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aoun said that, if there are “no decent people from the movement to participate in a discussion, let them immigrate, because in this case, they will not reach a position of authority in Lebanon.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Protesters thought that Aoun had said that, people should immigrate, if they do not like any decent person in authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Demonstrators are also angry over the death of a protester in Khaldeh, while the Lebanese army was trying to disperse protesters, who took to the streets after Aoun’s speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
President Aoun has not yet started consultations with MP’s, to name a new prime minister, after the resignation of PM Saad Hariri’s government, following pressure from the streets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
