{"id":48676,"date":"2019-11-02T13:17:27","date_gmt":"2019-11-02T05:17:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=48676"},"modified":"2019-11-02T13:26:25","modified_gmt":"2019-11-02T05:26:25","slug":"mumbai-airport-to-be-partially-shut-for-five-months-due-to-rehabilitation-re-carpeting-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=48676","title":{"rendered":"Mumbai Airport To Be Partially Shut For Five Months Due To Rehabilitation, Re-Carpeting Work"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>MUMBAI, Nov 2 (NNN-PTI) &#8211; Mumbai airport runway will be partially closed for renovation, from Nov 4 till Mar for a major rehabilitation and re-carpeting work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During this period, the shorter secondary runway will be available for normal flight operations, said the statement, issued by the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;As per the revised date, RWY 09\/27 will not be available for aircraft operations from Nov 4, 2019, up to Mar 28, 2020, from Mondays to Saturdays, between 09:30 to 17:30 (local time),&#8221; said the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;However, during the closure of RWY 09\/27, RWY 14\/32 will be available for aircraft operations.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The work was postponed due to prolonged monsoon season, which normally starts in Jun and ends by Sept. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The primary runway can handle up to 48 arrivals and departures an hour, while the secondary runway can handle 35 flight per hour, airport officials said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airport in Mumbai, with two intersecting runways, is India&#8217;s second busiest airport after Delhi, in terms of passenger traffic.&#8211; NNN-PTI  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MUMBAI, Nov 2 (NNN-PTI) &#8211; Mumbai airport runway will be partially closed for renovation, from Nov 4 till Mar for a major rehabilitation and re-carpeting work.
