{"id":47187,"date":"2019-10-21T12:10:38","date_gmt":"2019-10-21T04:10:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=47187"},"modified":"2019-10-21T12:21:35","modified_gmt":"2019-10-21T04:21:35","slug":"australian-state-premier-to-expand-ties-during-china-vietnam-visit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=47187","title":{"rendered":"Australian State Premier To Expand Ties During China, Vietnam Visit"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>SYDNEY, Oct 21 (NNN-XINHUA) &#8211; Premier of the Australian state of Victoria, Daniel Andrews, will embark on a diplomatic mission to China and Vietnam this week, during which he will discuss his state&#8217;s commitment to the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Oct last year, in his official capacity as state premier, Andrews signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China, on the Belt and Road Initiative, becoming the first Australian state to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The trip this week marks the premier&#8217;s first official visit to Vietnam, and the sixth official visit to China, amid a push to strengthen his state&#8217;s engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This trip will deepen ties with our neighbouring region and help create opportunities for greater collaboration and investment, which means jobs for Victorians,&#8221; Andrews said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The premier will meet with Chinese construction companies and investors in Beijing, to discuss infrastructure plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;My sixth official visit to China will promote Victoria&#8217;s record infrastructure pipeline, while building on the close relationship our state has with our biggest trading partner,&#8221; said the premier.&#8211; NNN-XINHUA  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SYDNEY, Oct 21 (NNN-XINHUA) &#8211; Premier of the Australian state of Victoria, Daniel Andrews, will embark on a diplomatic mission to China and Vietnam this week, during which he will discuss his state&#8217;s commitment to the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative.
