KABUL, Oct 14 (NNN-XINHUA) – Two police officers and a school principal were shot and killed, in increased targeted attacks in Afghanistan, authorities confirmed today (Monday).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In one incident, unknown armed men shot dead Sayyed Ziauddin, the principal of a boys’ high school, in Police District 11, near the school, in the national capital of Kabul early on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Ziauddin was out for dinner Sunday night, and at the early morning, as he was returning home when he was shot by unknown gunmen, in the Khayr Khana neighbourhood,” a district police told Xinhua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Elsewhere, two police officers were gunned down by unidentified armed men, in Kandahar city, capital of southern Kandahar province, this morning, provincial police spokesman, Jamal Barakzai, told Xinhua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police officers were on their way to the office, in Police District 8 of the city, before they came under attack, according to Barakzai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No group has immediately claimed responsibility for the two incidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
