ADEN, Oct 9 (NNN-SABA) – Forces loyal to Yemen’s government, achieved progress in fighting against the Houthi rebels in the southern province of Dhalea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Several military sites located in the northern parts of Dhalea, near the central province of Ibb, were seized by pro-government forces, after hours of fighting,” the government source said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Houthi rebels were pushed back to their stronghold in Ibb province, after losing the battle with pro-government forces in Dhalea outskirts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Five pro-government soldiers were killed and 15 others injured, during the battle with the Houthis, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Medical sources confirmed that, around 11 Houthi rebels were killed during the fighting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A media centre, said that, “fighting against Houthis will continue during the upcoming days, deep inside the Houthi-controlled areas in neighbouring Ibb province.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Apr, the Houthi fighters launched a series of intense armed attacks on the positions of Yemeni government forces and succeeded in seizing the district of Al Husha. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The areas in the north and west of Dhalea, 138 km north of Aden, have been witnessing non-stop fighting between government forces and Houthi fighters.– NNN-SABA <\/p>\n\n\n\n
