{"id":45087,"date":"2019-10-05T15:06:36","date_gmt":"2019-10-05T07:06:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=45087"},"modified":"2019-10-05T15:09:26","modified_gmt":"2019-10-05T07:09:26","slug":"airbus-to-invest-over-5-billion-in-turkey-by-2030","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=45087","title":{"rendered":"Airbus To Invest Over $5 Billion In Turkey By 2030"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>ANKARA, Oct 5 (NNN-ANADOLU) &#8211; Airbus is expected to invest around $2.5 billion in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hurriyetdailynews.com\/search\/Turkey\">Turkey<\/a> in 2020, and that figure will jump over $5 billion by 2030, Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Minister, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hurriyetdailynews.com\/search\/cahit%20turhan\">Cahit Turhan,<\/a> said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Turkey and Airbus have maintained a strong and successful collaboration in civilian and military aviation for some 30 years, Turhan added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at the ceremony for a retrofit agreement for A400M model aircraft, at an airbase in the Central Anatolian province of Kayseri, Turhan noted that, Turkey is Airbus\u2019s fourth-largest customer, with some 270 passenger and freighter aircraft in service with nine local operators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAirbus also has interests in seven companies in Turkey. Those investments yield concrete results: Every commercial and military Airbus aircraft flying today has parts produced by Turkish suppliers,\u201d Turhan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The minister also underlined that 144 of the total 344 aircraft in the fleet of Turkey\u2019s flag carrier, Turkish Airlines, are Airbus jets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTurkish Airlines also placed orders for 84 A321 NEO and 30 A350-900 model Airbus jets.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The list price of those 114 aircraft to be delivered in batches until 2024 is around $20.9 billion, according to the minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Turhan also noted the close cooperation between the aviation company and Turkey\u2019s satellite communications firm T\u00dcRKSAT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2017, Airbus and T\u00dcRKSAT signed a contract to develop T\u00fcrksat 5A and T\u00fcrksat 5B satellites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>T\u00fcrksat 5A and T\u00fcrksat 5B satellites are planned for in-orbit delivery in the first quarters of 2020 and 2021, respectively.&#8211; NNN-ANADOLU <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ANKARA, Oct 5 (NNN-ANADOLU) &#8211; Airbus is expected to invest around $2.5 billion in Turkey in 2020, and that figure will jump over $5 billion by 2030, Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Minister, Cahit Turhan, said.
