The strength of the typhoon is expected to be weaker when it arrives at the southern region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mitag was predicted to move along the southern regions and exit to the East Sea on Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It would bring heavy rain and strong wind to the country, after hitting the southern resort island of Jeju.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Precipitations in the Jeju island ranged from at least 130 millimetres to over 240 millimetres as of 10 a.m. local time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 250 flights were cancelled in the island, with sea routes being blocked.
