{"id":43328,"date":"2019-09-22T11:05:37","date_gmt":"2019-09-22T03:05:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=43328"},"modified":"2019-09-22T11:11:45","modified_gmt":"2019-09-22T03:11:45","slug":"yemens-newly-appointed-finance-foreign-ministers-sworn-in","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=43328","title":{"rendered":"Yemen&#8217;s Newly-Appointed Finance, Foreign Ministers Sworn In"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>ADEN, Sept 22 (NNN-SABA) &#8211; Yemen&#8217;s newly-appointed ministers of finance and foreign affairs were formally sworn in on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The swearing-in took place at the presidential office in Saudi Arabia&#8217;s capital, Riyadh, where high-ranking Yemeni government officials are temporarily based, along with Yemen&#8217;s President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ministers thanked Hadi for his trust and vowed to exert hard efforts in performing their missions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Thursday, Hadi announced a cabinet reshuffle, naming new foreign and finance ministers, to lead the key state institutions in the war-torn Arab country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Yemeni president also issued another decree appointing Ahmed al-Fadhli as governor for Yemen&#8217;s Central Bank, based in the southern port city of Aden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reshuffle comes amid escalating tension between the Saudi-backed Yemeni government and the pro-secession Southern Transitional Council (STC) that seized Aden and other neighboring provinces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All the country&#8217;s key institutions, including the central bank, are currently secured by military units of the STC that forced government officials to fly to Saudi Arabia last month.&#8211; NNN-SABA  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ADEN, Sept 22 (NNN-SABA) &#8211; Yemen&#8217;s newly-appointed ministers of finance and foreign affairs were formally sworn in on Saturday.
