{"id":42336,"date":"2019-09-14T12:23:56","date_gmt":"2019-09-14T04:23:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=42336"},"modified":"2019-09-14T12:32:42","modified_gmt":"2019-09-14T04:32:42","slug":"25-killed-wounded-in-explosion-in-syrias-afrin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=42336","title":{"rendered":"25 Killed, Wounded In Explosion In Syria&#8217;s Afrin"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>DAMASCUS, Sept 14 (NNN-SANA) &#8211; At least 25 people were killed and wounded, when a car bomb went off in Syria&#8217;s rebel-held Afrin city, in northern Syria on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said, a violent explosion rocked Afrin, which is controlled by Turkey-backed rebels, in the northern countryside of Aleppo province, when a car bomb went off near the rebels&#8217; headquarters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It said that at least one person was killed while the rest are wounded, some in critical conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Afrin, a predominantly-Kurdish enclave near the Turkish border, fell to the Turkish-led rebels in Mar, 2018, which led to the displacement of thousands of Kurdish people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The area had been controlled by Kurdish militiamen, mainly the People&#8217;s Protection Units (YPG), which is regarded as a terror group by Turkey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several explosions rocked the city, since it fell to the Turkey-backed rebels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Around 350,000 people were displaced from Afrin, when the Ankara-backed rebels took control.&#8211; NNN-SANA  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DAMASCUS, Sept 14 (NNN-SANA) &#8211; At least 25 people were killed and wounded, when a car bomb went off in Syria&#8217;s rebel-held Afrin city, in northern Syria on Friday.
