YANGON, Aug 30 (NNN-Xinhua) — A total of 78 more illegal Myanmar migrant workers have been sent back to homeland from Thailand, Myanmar’s immigration authorities said on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The illegal migrant workers including six women were handed over by Thailand’s Immigration Department through Kawthoung border gate in southern Tanintharyi region on Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They were expelled by the Thai authorities for being found with expired visas and without proper documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With healthcare provided, these illegal migrant workers were being sent back to their respective homes, the immigration department said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In July, 180 other similar Myanmar migrant workers were repatriated to homeland from Thailand via the same border gate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to statistics of the department, Myanmar had received back 488 illegal Myanmar migrants including women and children from Thailand between January and March this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
