{"id":36964,"date":"2019-08-10T14:02:59","date_gmt":"2019-08-10T06:02:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=36964"},"modified":"2019-08-10T14:03:03","modified_gmt":"2019-08-10T06:03:03","slug":"airasia-receives-its-first-a330neo-aircraft","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=36964","title":{"rendered":"AirAsia receives its first A330neo aircraft"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img src=\"http:\/\/pcms.bernama.com:7788\/storage\/photos\/cfe2bbee51503ad9710c1511d2d29ae15d4e3e4834ea2\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 10 (NNN-Bernama) &#8212; AirAsia Bhd has taken delivery of its first A330neo aircraft, to be operated by its long-haul affiliate AirAsia X Thailand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The low-cost airline said the aircraft was delivered via lessor Avolon and became the first of two A330neos set to join the airline\u2019s fleet by year-end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith its enhanced economics, the A330neo will bring a step-change in fuel efficiency for AirAsia\u2019s long haul operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe new generation A330neo will be based at Bangkok\u2019s Don Mueang International Airport in Thailand, supporting the airline\u2019s growth and network expansion plans to key markets such as Australia, Japan and South Korea,\u201d it said in a statement today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AirAsia said the AirAsia X Thailand A330-900 features 377 seats in a two-class configuration, comprising 12 Premium Flatbeds and 365 economy class seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAirAsia\u2019s long-haul affiliate, AirAsia X currently operates 36 A330-300 aircraft and is the largest customer for the A330neo with 66 on firm order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe A330neo is the true new-generation aircraft building on the most popular wide-body A330\u2019s features and leveraging A350 XWB technology,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Powered by the latest Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, the A330neo provides an unprecedented level of efficiency \u2013 with 25 per cent lower fuel burn per seat than previous generation competitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NNN- BERNAMA<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 10 (NNN-Bernama) &#8212; AirAsia Bhd has taken delivery of its first A330neo aircraft, to be operated by its long-haul affiliate AirAsia X Thailand.
