DAMASCUS, Syria, July 21 (NNN-SANA) – Corrupt members of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), were caught smuggling Daesh women from a camp in north-eastern Syria, a war monitor reported Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two SDF members were caught at a checkpoint, in Manbij, in northern Aleppo province, while attempting to smuggle out five women who are members of the Daesh, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The UK-based watchdog group said, the SDF rounded up the two corrupt members, who were smuggling the women in exchange for 10,000 U.S. dollars each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The women were smuggled out of the al-Hol camp in the north-eastern province of Hasakah, said the Observatory, adding that, it’s not the first time such smuggling attempts take place in that camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s worth noting that the al-Hol camp is largely inhabited by family members and fighters of the Daesh group, particularly after their defeats in eastern Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The SDF, which is backed by the United States, has made strides in the battles against the Daesh late last year and earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
