KOTA KINABALU, July 14 (NNN-Bernama) — Sabah through its Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment will be co-hosting a concert with the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Kota Kinabalu.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ministry’s Permanent Secretary William Baya said the “Maritime Silkroad Legend Concert 2019”, to mark the 45th year of Malaysia-China diplomatic ties would be held at the Auditorium, Sabah State Administration Centre on July 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The theme of the concert, ‘One Belt, One Road’ is a significant nod to the maritime silk road, which is to enhance regional connectivity,” he told a press conference here today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The concert is expected be graced by Sabah Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin, his wife Toh Puan Norlidah R. M Jasni, and Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal and wife Datin Seri Shuryani Shuaib.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Beijing-based Malaysian pianist Claudia Yang, 45, from Muar, Johor would be performing with Guanxi Symphony Orchestra, an ensemble of about 85 musicians consisting of China and Korean nationals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
