{"id":325774,"date":"2026-04-14T16:58:38","date_gmt":"2026-04-14T08:58:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=325774"},"modified":"2026-04-14T16:58:38","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T08:58:38","slug":"pakistan-working-towards-new-round-of-iran-talks-sources-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=325774","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan working towards new round of Iran talks, sources say"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">ISLAMABAD, April 14 (dpa) - Pakistan is working towards facilitating a new round of talks between Iran and the US, after negotiations over a possible end to the war in the Middle East ended without an agreement over the weekend.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">Islamabad is looking to host talks as soon as possible, Pakistani diplomats told dpa on&nbsp;Tuesday.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">China, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Turkey are also in touch with Tehran and Washington, after the four countries proposed another round of talks in Islamabad this week, diplomats said.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">China, considered a close ally of Tehran, advised Iran to agree to further negotiations, the sources said.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">So far there has been no official confirmation from either side.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">Top US and Iranian officials met for the highest-level direct negotiations in decades in Pakistan over the weekend.
