Photo: Iranian Army Office\/ZUMA Press Wire\/dpa<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>ISTANBUL, April 6 (Bernama-Anadolu) &#8212;\u00a0Iran has sent a proposal outlining its position on ending the war, rejecting a temporary ceasefire and calling instead for a permanent resolution, Anadolu Ajansi reported, citing the state news agency IRNA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iran conveyed its response to a US proposal through Pakistan after two weeks of high-level deliberations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The response, consisting of 10 points, rejects the idea of a temporary ceasefire and emphasises the need for a lasting end to the war in line with Iran\u2019s conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The proposal includes demands such as an end to hostilities in the region, a framework to ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, reconstruction, and the lifting of sanctions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The proposal came after recent developments in western and central parts of Iran, including a reported US heliborne operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the US side, a White House official said a proposed 45-day ceasefire between the United States and Iran is \u201cone of many ideas\u201d currently under discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe president has not signed off on it.
