JAKARTA, April 1 (NNN-Bernama) — Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Seoul, South Korea, for a state visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and expanding strategic cooperation, after concluding his official visit to Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to a statement from the Bureau of Press, Media, and Information of the Presidential Secretariat, the presidential aircraft, Garuda Indonesia-1, landed at Seongnam Air Base at about 7.15 pm local time on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Upon arrival, Prabowo was accorded an official welcoming ceremony, including a guard of honour comprising 20 personnel and a 21-gun salute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was received by South Korea\u2019s Minister of Climate, Energy and Environment, Kim Sung-hwan; Ambassador-designate to Indonesia, Yoon Soongu; and Chief of State Protocol, Kim Tae-jin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also present were Indonesia\u2019s Ambassador to South Korea, Cecep Herawan, and Defence Attach\u00e9 in Seoul, Colonel (Pnb) Muhammad Arif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During his stay, Prabowo is scheduled to undertake a series of engagements, including an official welcoming ceremony hosted by the South Korean President at the Blue House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The visit is expected to further strengthen the longstanding friendship and strategic partnership between Indonesia and South Korea, while opening broader opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prior to arriving in Seoul, Prabowo departed from Haneda Airport in Tokyo at 5.15 pm local time after completing a series of official engagements in Japan, including a state call with Emperor Naruhito and a meeting with Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
