{"id":30188,"date":"2019-06-26T14:55:53","date_gmt":"2019-06-26T06:55:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=30188"},"modified":"2019-06-26T15:00:48","modified_gmt":"2019-06-26T07:00:48","slug":"king-stops-motorcade-to-help-accident-victim-in-putrajaya","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=30188","title":{"rendered":"King stops motorcade to help accident victim in Putrajaya"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/pcms.bernama.com:7788\/storage\/photos\/35ebc4f8acb301bc7185025c882376405d12ec7c22fd5\" alt=\"\" width=\"701\" height=\"548\"\/><figcaption>A concerned King (second from left and in suit), His Majesty Sultan Abdullah Ri\u00e1yatuddin checks on accident victim (in car), Jasliza who had crashed her car at Precint 2 in Putrajaya.   <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>PUTRAJAYA, June 26 (Bernama) \u2014 An accident victim here received some unexpected royal intervention and help here today, in the form of the King himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pictures of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri\u2019ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah stopping by the accident scene this morning and checking on the driver of the red Perodua Alza car immediately went viral on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHis Royal Highness Yang di-Pertuan Agong alighted from his official car to help an accident victim in the vicinity of Putrajaya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAlhamdulillah, the driver of the car, Puan Jasliza Jamil was not seriously hurt,\u201d a posting on Istana Negara&#8217;s official Instagram account stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The same posting said that His Majesty later continued the drive for his pre-Cabinet meeting with Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad at Istana Melawati in Putrajaya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is tradition for the Prime Minister to seek an audience with the King before chairing the Cabinet meeting every Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Putrajaya district police chief, ACP Rosly Hasan, when contacted, said the accident took place at the Persiaran Barat Lebuh Sentosa stretch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rosly said Jasliza, 38, had lost control of the wheel and crashed her vehicle at about 7.20am.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"http:\/\/pcms.bernama.com:7788\/storage\/photos\/da8db84e12b83115e784c99d088f7e5b5d12ec994ff49\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the victim was headed to her office in Precinct 2 from Gombak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was drizzling at the time, and she lost control of the vehicle before crashing into the divider railing,\u201d Rosly said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the King, who happened to be passing by the same route, stopped to check on the victim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Yang di-Pertuan Agong was very concerned and also helped the victim.
