{"id":30131,"date":"2019-06-26T11:35:31","date_gmt":"2019-06-26T03:35:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=30131"},"modified":"2019-06-26T11:41:07","modified_gmt":"2019-06-26T03:41:07","slug":"jordan-urges-intensified-efforts-to-achieve-lasting-mideast-peace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=30131","title":{"rendered":"Jordan Urges Intensified Efforts To Achieve Lasting Mideast Peace"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>AMMAN, Jordan, June 26 (NNN-PETRA) &#8211; King Abdullah II of Jordan, on Tuesday, urged efforts to reach just and lasting peace in the Middle East, based on the two-state solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The King made the remarks, during a meeting with visiting EU Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn, where he said, the two-state solution should lead to the creation of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting discussed relations between the EU and Jordan, and developments in the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also Tuesday, Jordanian Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, met with the EU official.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The minister highlighted the importance of the EU&#8217;s efforts, in overcoming regional crises and sustaining security and stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Safadi voiced appreciation for the EU&#8217;s support for a two-state solution, as the only way to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, and establish comprehensive peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EU official underlined EU&#8217;s appreciation of Jordan&#8217;s efforts in boosting regional security and stability.&#8211; NNN-PETRA  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AMMAN, Jordan, June 26 (NNN-PETRA) &#8211; King Abdullah II of Jordan, on Tuesday, urged efforts to reach just and lasting peace in the Middle East, based on the two-state solution.
