LIMA, June 26 (NNN-ANDINA) — Peru ranks first among Latin American countries in the\u00a02019 Country RepTrak<\/a>,\u00a0Peru’s Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru)<\/a>\u00a0disclosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the latest ranking made by the Reputation Institute, the Inca country climbed two positions compared to last year’s report.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, it ranks 25th (62.2 points) in the global ranking, surpassing Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, and Chile.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand,\u00a0FutureBrand’s 2019 Country Index<\/a>\u00a0indicated Peru has moved up 12 spots (from 49 to 37).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, it points out that the Inca country is part of the group \u2014alongside Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, and Turkey\u2014 that has the most improved perceptions over time, as it jumped significantly between the 2014 and 2019 studies.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Edgar Vasquez<\/a>\u00a0said these achievements \u2014result of the Inca country’s promotion strategy\u2014 should make Peruvians feel proud and motivate them to keep working hard,\u00a0boost exports<\/a>, as well as continue attracting investments and international tourists.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 1997, The Reputation Institute measures more than 7,000 companies per year, across 55 countries, and 20 different industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0FutureBrand<\/a>\u00a0Country Index measures the strength of perception of countries around the world in the same way they study consumer or corporate brands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
