SYDNEY, Jun 11 (NNN-AAP) – Australian police reported that a man has been shot today, during a home invasion in Sydney’s south-west.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As per New South Wales Police Force, at about 12:45 a.m. local time, emergency services responded to reports of a man being shot inside a house, on Mary Wade Place in Carnes Hill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A 25-year-old man was found sustaining a gunshot wound to his right leg. Paramedics treated him at the scene, before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious but stable condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officers were told that, eight men wearing face coverings forced entry into the premises, while they were confronted by the 25-year-old resident, before he was shot twice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Petrol was then poured through the home, but not ignited, before the men fled the scene, in two separate vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shotgun damage was also identified on a vehicle parked in the driveway of the home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“A crime scene has been established as investigations commence. The incident is believed to be targeted,” said the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
