{"id":230585,"date":"2023-07-27T11:59:31","date_gmt":"2023-07-27T03:59:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=230585"},"modified":"2023-07-27T12:07:03","modified_gmt":"2023-07-27T04:07:03","slug":"airasia-x-seat-capacity-soars-in-q2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=230585","title":{"rendered":"Airasia X Seat Capacity Soars In Q2"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR, Jul 27 (NNN-BERNAMA) &#8211; Malaysian aviation group, AirAsia X, yesterday reported its seat capacity surged by over 26 times higher, year-on-year, at 818,422 seats flown in the second quarter of 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement, AirAsia X attributed the increase to additional aircraft being brought into service, and network further enhanced, compared to the preceding quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company has also achieved a passenger load factor of 76 percent, up by 47 percentage points, year on year, as compared to 29 percent a year ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the past 12 months, the company&#8217;s operations have normalised, reporting remarkable growth of 25 times higher, year on year, in available seat kilometre (ASK) capacity, to achieve 3.509 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group&#8217;s number of passengers carried, totalled 621,984 in the second quarter, indicating a surge to 70 times higher, year on year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On a quarterly basis, the number of passengers carried increased by 23 percent against the preceding quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the quarter under review, AirAsia X launched flights to Bangkok, Beijing and the Gold Coast, on top of ramping up its frequency to fly daily to Australia&#8217;s Sydney, Melbourne and Japan&#8217;s Osaka, to meet improved consumer demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AirAsia X&#8217;s total fleet size stood at 17 A330s aircraft, as of the end of Jun, 2023, with 11 aircraft now activated and operational.&#8211; NNN-BERNAMA &nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KUALA LUMPUR, Jul 27 (NNN-BERNAMA) &#8211; Malaysian aviation group, AirAsia X, yesterday reported its seat capacity surged by over 26 times higher, year-on-year, at 818,422 seats flown in the second quarter of 2023.
