{"id":218101,"date":"2023-04-12T17:49:54","date_gmt":"2023-04-12T09:49:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=218101"},"modified":"2023-04-12T17:53:29","modified_gmt":"2023-04-12T09:53:29","slug":"malaysia-natural-rubber-production-decreased-by-7-6-percent-in-feb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=218101","title":{"rendered":"Malaysia Natural Rubber Production Decreased By 7.6 Percent In Feb"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR, Apr 12 (NNN-BERNAMA) &#8211; Natural rubber production in Malaysia decreased by 7.6 percent to 27,209 tonnes in Feb, as compared to 29,451 tonnes in Jan, 2023, official data showed today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Year-on-year comparison showed that the production of natural rubber fell 2.7 percent from 27,950 tonnes a year ago, the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the DOSM, total stocks of natural rubber in Feb, declined by 1.5 percent to 191,636 tonnes, as compared to 194,563 tonnes in Jan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Exports of Malaysia&#8217;s natural rubber amounted to 48,393 tonnes in Feb, an increase of 18.4 percent as against 40,867 tonnes in Jan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>China remained as the main destination for natural rubber exports, which accounted for 56.9 percent of total exports in Feb.&#8211; NNN-BERNAMA <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was followed by Germany (7.3 percent), T\u00fcrkiye (3.6 percent), the United States (2.1 percent) and Egypt (1.5 percent).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The export performance was contributed by natural rubber-based products such as gloves, tyre, tube, rubber thread and condom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gloves were the main exports of rubber-based products with a value of 990 million ringgit (about 224 million U.S. dollars) in February, an increase of 5.6 percent as compared to 930 million ringgit (about 211 million dollars) in January.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KUALA LUMPUR, Apr 12 (NNN-BERNAMA) &#8211; Natural rubber production in Malaysia decreased by 7.6 percent to 27,209 tonnes in Feb, as compared to 29,451 tonnes in Jan, 2023, official data showed today.
