KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 13 (NNN-BERNAMA) – Malaysia’s natural rubber production, decreased by 11.8 percent to 28,048 tonnes in Nov, 2022, from 31,795 tonnes in the previous month, official data showed today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The year-on-year comparison also showed that, the production of natural rubber fell eight percent from 30,493 tonnes a year ago, the Department of Statistics Malaysia said, in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Exports of Malaysia’s natural rubber amounted to 51,104 tonnes in Nov, an increase of 23 percent against 41,548 tonnes in Oct, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
China remained the main destination for Malaysia’s natural rubber exports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The export performance was contributed by natural rubber-based products, such as gloves, tires, tubes, and rubber threads, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gloves, which were the main exports of rubber-based products, saw its export value decrease by five percent from 1.13 billion ringgit (260 million U.S. dollars) in Oct, to 1.1 billion ringgit (253 million dollars) in Nov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
